In response to Government advice relating to the Covid-19 pandemic the Standing Together Team are currently providing remote support to students until further notice . You are still able to access advice and support through Microsoft Teams and via email and a Case Worker will work with you to deliver support in the most accessible way for you.

We are aware that many people will be at greater risk of abuse during the lockdown period and that many may be feeling unsafe isolating in a house at this time. If you are concerned about someone you know or if you are living with an abusive person, please download the free The Bright Sky app which enables users to locate their nearest support services by searching their area, postcode or current location. Please only download this app if it is safe to do so and you are sure that your mobile phone is not being monitored.

For out of hours support, you can contact Qwell-they offer online support in addition to 1-1 chat based counselling with a qualified counsellor. No referral is required.

Please note that completing the form within the Report & Support site will not automatically start a formal disciplinary process.

We want all students at the University of Leicester to experience an environment that is stimulating, enjoyable and safe. However, during your time with us, you may witness or experience something that concerns or distresses you and you might want the University to know about it.

You should not have to accept any behaviour that you’re not comfortable with. You can let us know about something that has happened/is happening to you or to someone else.

There are 15 short, multiple choice questions on this disclosure system. Some of these questions relate to the incident being disclosed, some are about the person who has been subjected to the unacceptable behaviour, and some will ask about your preferences around remaining anonymous or leaving contact details.

You are able to let us know about the incident(s) in one of 2 ways, either anonymously or by leaving your contact details. You will be asked for your choice at the end of the process.

If you choose to disclose anonymously we will not be able to offer direct advice or begin any formal processes. If you let us know about something and leave your email address, we will put you in touch with someone from the Student Support Team who will be in touch about the support available to you.

By submitting the information in this form, you are agreeing to the use of your data, as outlined in the privacy policy.

You can leave the form at any point. You can ask any questions you have about this system by emailing the Standing Together team: standingtogether@le.ac.uk.

The information from your responses in this system will be received by a member of Student Support staff. If you have left your email address, they will endeavour to get back to you within 2 working days. The information you provide in this system won't be shared with any other staff or students unless there is a safeguarding concern.

Sometimes, anonymised information from the system will be used to inform our processes, and feed into local and broader prevention campaigns and programmes. This information will not have any personal details shared.
