Students can make a formal report about the unacceptable behaviours of other students. Behaviours such as bullying, harassment and physical assault are not acceptable at the University of Leicester. Should a student/s behave in a way that is unacceptable, it may be considered a breach of the University regulations and they could be subject to an investigation.
We have outlined the brief steps you can expect to encounter through making a formal report of any non academic misconduct.

We know it can be a difficult decision to consider making a formal report. We encourage students to meet with a Standing Together case worker to discuss your options. If you have concerns about making a formal report, the case worker will be able to explore some other options that are more informal and may be able to address some of your concerns.
The University of Leicester is committed to protecting freedom of speech within the law. This means students, staff and visitors can share and discuss ideas, even where others may disagree.
But if you feel you have been, harassed or discriminated against, this is not ok and may be against the law. We are here to listen and support you.
You can disclose this to us via our Report & Support disclosure form, and we can provide you with your support options.
